RCF NXL 14-A Compact Active Point Source Speaker
RCF NXL 14-A Compact Active Point Source Speaker is the most compact active speaker in the professional NXL series. It features two 6” woofers in a symmetrical configuration and the new 1.75” Precision Transducers PKX driver loaded on a rotatable TRW waveguide, all powered by a 2,100W two-channel amplifier. Available in black or white finish, the NXL 14-A is designed to deliver definition, power, and portability in any live application. Perfect for vocal reproduction, ideal in compact live systems paired with SUB Series subwoofers, in immersive setups, or as a fill speaker.
- 128 dB max SPL
- 2100W Class-D Bi-Amplification
- 70-20000 Hz linear frequency range
- 1.75" PKX / Neodymium Compression Driver
- 2 x 6" High Power Neodymium Woofers
- Rotatable 100° x 70° TRW Waveguide
- FiRPHASE and Bass Motion Control
Small Framework. Massive Sound
Power that moves
The most powerful amplifier in its class. RCF's improvements in transducer design make them stronger and more powerful. With 2,100W of power, the NXL MK2 2-channel Class-D amplifier is 50% more powerful than previous models. NXL manages extreme sound pressure levels with an ultra-fast attack, realistic transient response, and very low power loss. NXL modules are energy efficient, so there's no need for a cooling fan. The amplifier is attached to a solid aluminum heat exchanger at the rear of the enclosure, which has no moving parts. The input circuit features a new low-distortion design with an advanced safety limiter, maintaining the true character of the input signal at all levels. All NXL amplifiers are designed according to EN62368-1 for maximum safety and house a Switch Mode Power Supply section with minimum weight.
High Frequencies
Low Frequencies
The dual woofer configuration features two 6” neodymium woofers designed for robust bass performance. The cone is crafted from water-resistant fiber-doped material, ensuring durability and consistent sound quality in various environments. It also includes a polycotton M-roll surround which enhances its efficiency and overall audio output. Additionally, the hypervented magnetic structure allows for better cooling and improved power handling, resulting in a clearer and more reliable sound reproduction.
Superior Directivity
Symmetrically aligned transducers ensure coherent wavefront projection and smooth response, providing consistent directional control in both horizontal and vertical orientation. The rotatable 100º x 70º waveguide produces precise, constant coverage. This special configuration allows for excellent control of directional characteristics, significantly increasing intelligibility in difficult acoustic environments.
Built for everyday use
Rig it anywhere
Rigging the speaker is quick and straightforward. The convenient Quick Fit socket at the top and bottom of the enclosure allows for rapid attachment to accessories. No matter the setup, you'll always find a spot for the NXL 14-A.
Tour Ready Construction
Bass Motion Control
The BMC method works by creating a complete map of the dynamic behavior of the woofer, to generate a custom algorithm that only limits over-excursions. This gives total freedom of signal reproduction to the transducer. When high-pass filters normally protect the woofer motion from becoming destructive but change the phase behavior, the new BMC algorithm breaks conventional rules.
New perspective on linearity
The special FiRPHASE filters allow for coherent distribution of sound for all listeners without phase distortions, ensuring minimum latencies in the system.
